The Galloway Township resident was suspended from her position as a music teacher at the Belhaven School in Linwood after the February 2017 injury.

Closing arguments are to be submitted to a New Jersey judge in the case of a New Jersey teacher charged with simple assault of a student who hit his head on a cafeteria floor after authorities say she kicked a chair he was leaning back in.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that 41-year-old Kimberley Peschi testified tearfully Friday before a municipal judge in Northfield that it was "an accident" and "never in my life would I intentionally hurt a child."

The Galloway Township resident was suspended from her position as a music teacher at the Belhaven School in Linwood after the February 2017 injury.

The sixth-grade student said he had a headache and got a CT scan at a hospital the next day, but wasn't left with serious injuries.
