Man Shot in His Own Home

A dispute outside a southern New Jersey home ended with one resident being seriously injured in a shooting and three men being sought by authorities.

Salem County Prosecutor John Lenahan tells the South Jersey Times that 43-year-old Rye Ru Pough of Penns Grove was shot in the thigh at his home Friday night and was being treated at a hospital.

Lenahan called the wound "life threatening," but did not disclose further details.

The victim told police that he was outside his home when he became involved in an argument with three men inside a car.

He said one of the men soon pulled out a handgun and shot him, then all three men fled in the car.

Authorities have not said what sparked the argument.
