Sex Abuse Lands Pennsylvania Offender in State Prison: Authorities

A Pennsylvania man who sexually abused a teenage boy and committed an unlawful sex act in front of a younger boy is now headed to state prison, said authorities in New Jersey.

John Poston, a 47-year-old Mountain Top man, was sentenced Friday to eight years in prison. He also will have to register as a sex offender and will be on lifetime supervision.

Atlantic County prosecutors said the former Mays Landing resident was arrested in January 2011, a few months after he brought the boys there and plied them with alcohol. He was convicted on several charges in July, including sexual assault, child abuse and child endangerment.

The boys were 12 and 17 at the time the incidents occurred.
