Man Dies in NJ Motel Fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation

A man living in a Gloucester County motel died during a fire Sunday.

Firefighters were called to the Royal Inn on South Delsea Drive in Glassboro shortly after 8 a.m. after residents complained they smelled smoke from the man’s room.

The Glassboro Fire Department extinguished the fire and found the victim. He was later identified as 52-year-old Walter White.

An autopsy by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office is scheduled for Monday.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
