Philadelphia Police are looking for a man who allegedly dressed up like a woman and robbed a jewelry store in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia Thursday around dinnertime.
The owner of Delphine Gallery, a jewelry store on Germantown Avenue, tells NBC10 that at 5 p.m., a man wearing a woman's wig and a blue kilt walked into her store and threatened her life before robbing her of $50,000 worth of jewels.
Vicky Spangler, owner, says she was threatened and robbed at gunpoint while people were sitting on a bench right outside, unaware of what was happening in the store.
The suspect fled the scene after getting his hands on the jewelry.
Northwest Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from a nearby business.
