Hearing to Consider Latest Revel Sale Set for March 4

A bankruptcy court judge will decide next week whether Atlantic City's former Revel casino should be sold to a Florida developer.

The March 4 hearing will be the third time Judge Gloria Burns will have approved the casino's sale- and the second time to the same purchaser.

Last week she canceled a $95.4 million deal she had approved in January to sell it to Glenn Straub's Polo North Country Club. But on Tuesday, Revel and Straub inked a new deal to sell it for $82 million.

An earlier deal the judge also approved to sell Revel to a Canadian firm for $110 million also fell through.

Straub hopes to have at least part of the property open by summer, with a smaller casino and health-related uses.
