Nearly a week after a boy ripped out his own teeth after his father allegedly refused to take him to the dentist; the Morning Call is reporting another alleged case of teeth and child neglect.
39-year-old John Grobelny and 44-year-old Donna Grobelny of Bethlehem were arrested on Monday for allegedly refusing to take their 7 and 9-year old children to the dentist even though they had rotten, decaying teeth and blackened gums.
The children were taken by the Northampton County Children and Youth to a hospital for examination.
Both parents allegedly told police that they knew their kids had tooth decay but did not take them to a dentist, even after school officials talked to them.
Police also say that the conditions inside the home were unsanitary.
The couple was sent to the Northampton County Prison. They are charged with reckless endangerment.
John is being held under $35,000 bail and Donna under $15,000 bail, according to the Morning Call.
