Christie Returns to Town Walloped by Sandy

Gov. Chris Christie is returning to a town whose flood waters left an indelible mark during Superstorm Sandy.

Christie will be in the central New Jersey borough of South River on Tuesday for another of his signature town hall meetings. The town and neighboring Sayreville were the first municipalities targeted by a post-Sandy buyout program.

Christie's appearance comes less than a week after he was heckled by protesters in Mount Laurel.

Six people were escorted from the event after shouting at the Republican to explain a political payback scandal that has overshadowed his administration.

The college students were the first to bring up the plot to create traffic jams as political payback and disrupt a town hall.

Christie has been carefully controlling his appearances since the scandal broke in January.
