Scenes will be filmed in Newark for the new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
City and transit officials are urging those who work in the city to allow extra time for their commutes.
Traffic delays, bus rerouting and intermittent street closures related to the filming are possible near City Hall and in Newark's downtown on Thursday and Friday.
Newark Mayor Cory Booker tweeted in May that movie executives were considering the city as a possible location for “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Booker joked at the time that he should play Nightwing, the DC Comics character that Dick Grayson became as an adult after giving up his role as Robin.
