Police are on the hunt for a man who they say robbed a business in Maple Shade. It happened Wednesday around 9:15 p.m. at the Goodwill Industries building at 2835 Route 73 South.
Police say the man was armed with a machete in one hand and a black handgun in the other. The business had just closed to the public for the day and the employees were finishing the end of their shifts in the office at the time of the robbery, according to investigators.
The suspect allegedly ordered three female employees to the corner of the office and then stole an unknown amount of money from the day’s receipts. Police say he then fled on foot through the back of the building and into a wooded area. No one was injured during the incident.
