Verdict This Week in Tattoo-for-Sex Case

Meyerle presented no defense after prosecutors wrapped up their case last week

A southeastern Pennsylvania judge says she'll hand down a verdict this week in the trial of a tattoo artist accused of sexually abusing more than a dozen children.

The Doylestown Intelligencer reports Bucks County Judge Diane Gibbons says she needs more time to review the evidence against Falls Township tattoo artist Walter Meyerle before issuing her verdict.

Meyerle presented no defense after prosecutors wrapped up their case last week. Meyerle requested a stipulated waiver trial at which prosecution evidence is put on the record and a judge determines the verdict.

Meyerle's attorneys say they would appeal a guilty verdict on pretrial issues including the legality of search warrants seizing his computers and cellphone.

Meyerle was arrested after police say he tattooed an underage girl in exchange for sex.
