Unknown Person Is Illegally Hunting Small Animals on Penn State Campus: Officials

Officials say someone is illegally hunting small animals on Pennsylvania State University's main campus.

Mike Steingraber, a wildlife official with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, says two squirrels and two rabbits were likely killed by the same person. The Centre Daily Times reports the latest animal carcass was found Tuesday.

Steingraber says four of the animal killings were all performed by a utility knife mounted on a skewer.

The killings on campus were first reported in August. Steingraber says it's extremely sad that someone is doing this, saying it's unlawful and the animals are being killed needlessly.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the game commission.
