Sex Trafficking Crackdown

Authorities are teaming up to crack down on sex trafficking and prostitution in hotels and motels outside Philadelphia.

Police began publicizing the operation Friday with Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.

According to law enforcement, commercial sex crimes have been on the rise in King of Prussia and Montgomeryville.

Ferman says authorities want to educate the public and hotel workers about the warning signs of such activities. They include men traveling with young women, renting multiple rooms and paying with cash.

Ferman also sought to dissuade those who might use hotels for illegal activities. Authorities say enforcement efforts will include undercover stings against customers.
