Authorities in Monmouth County have accused a 16-year-old of stabbing a Colts Neck woman and stealing her car.
The boy is charged with attempted murder, carjacking and weapons possession.
The 41-year-old woman was home at the time of the attack early in the morning of July 7.
Authorities say she had heard a noise outside her home and her assailant pushed his way inside when she opened the door to investigate.
The vehicle was recovered the next day in Aberdeen.
Authorities have not released the names of the woman and the suspect.
