NJ Social Worker Has Sex with Student: Cops

A Cumberland County school social worker is accused of having sex with a student.

A social worker at Vineland Public Schools is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.

Stacey Johnson, 44, was charged on Tuesday with sexual assault and tampering with a witness.

According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's office, Johnson was the victim's social worker and she had sex with him in Vineland in February and in Bridgeton in early May.

After learning of an investigation, Johnson tried to persuade the victim not to speak to police, according to investigators.

Bail has been set at $100,000.
