Pilot Hurt in Small Plane Crash

A pilot is fighting for his life after his plane crashed in Bucks County.

Elvon Vosseller, 70, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, was flying a glider when he sensed something was wrong and aborted the flight. The small plane went down in Tinicum Township shortly before noon.

Officials say the glider crashed at the Vans Sant Airport located at 515 Cafferty Road. Vosseller was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem and treated for lacerations to his head and face. A source tells NBC10 that he suffered severe brain injuries and is currently in ICU. He was the only person aboard the plane.

Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the crash.
