Early Monday morning, a car hit a pedestrian before striking a telephone pole and flipping.
On the 5500 block of Ridge Avenue in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, a vehicle lost control around 3:30 a.m. Authorities responded to a call for an overturned automobile.
It’s believed that the car, after losing control, hit a nearby pedestrian and then a telephone pole—crushing its hood. The vehicle then flipped, crashing onto its roof.
As a result of the accident, Ridge Avenue between Seville and Hermit streets had to be shut down.
The injuries to the pedestrian are non life-threatening.
