2nd Man Charged in NJ Basketball Player's Shooting Death Heads to Court

A second man charged in the shooting death of a promising New Jersey high school basketball player is scheduled to appear before a judge Wednesday.

Twenty-year-old Hasmeek Coles, of Paterson, faces single counts of murder and receiving stolen property and three counts of attempted murder. His bail was set at $2 million.

It wasn't known if he had an attorney.

Coles was arrested Friday, one day after 20-year Gregory Oliver, also of Paterson, pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and weapons charges.

Both men are charged in the death of 15-year-old Armoni Sexton. He was killed and three others were injured in a drive-by shooting in Paterson on April 18.

Sexton was a top scorer and rebounder at the Paterson Charter School for Science for Science and Technology.
