Astra Profits Up 29%; Acquisitions Planned

LONDON - AstraZeneca P.L.C., the London-based pharmaceutical giant with U.S. operations in Wilmington, said this morning that strong sales in emerging markets helped boost third-quarter profit by 29 percent, despite slackening U.S. sales.
