That Guy: Jeff Manning

This week's That Guy Profile is Jeff Manning.

This week's Profile is Jeff Manning of  Drexel Hill,Pa. Philly Fashion guru Sabir Peele tells us why Jeff is this week's That Guy.

What I like about this look?

Walking through Rittenhouse Square in Center City, I ran into this stylish young man. What I really like about Jeff's look is the mix of the 80's b-boy, 90s urban sportswear and today's layered styles all wrapped into a unique package. Philly youth-style is synonymous with what is called "urban" wear, which is a mix of hip-hop and sport style. His outfit channels old-school hip-hop style, in addition of the gold rope chain and the sport mix with his Nike Flights and matching Chicago Bulls cap. He  was wise enough to follow today's trend of a slimmer fit to these typically baggy items of clothing, which really helped him pull off this look well.

Where could this outfit be worn?

This outfit can be worn to just about any sporting event. Since a part of this look is sport inspired, depending on what “your” team is, you can switch out your hat to represent in style. This is definitely a look for the creative type.

Where can you buy this particular look?

If you are looking for high top sneakers with some style, look no further than Jordan brand, surprisingly, UGG Australia makes a great pair of high-top sneakers called the Em-pire and you will want to try Creative Recreation brand. Brands like Lands' End, Gap, Gant by Michael Bastian and Patagonia all carry puffer vests that come in a variety of color combinations. If you are in the market for a chambray style shirt, brands like J.Crew, H&M, Polo by Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic are a great resources to find a variety of styles and colors. Stores like Lids, Footlocker and Sports Authority are the main spots you will need to shop if you are in need of fitted or snap-back style baseball cap.

Style Tip?

His execution of this look is actually perfect. There is nothing that I would change about this look because changing it would take away the cool aesthetic. If you want switch up this look slightly, a long-sleeved Henley shirt would be a great alternative to this chambray option.
