Fans of Bravo’s Top Chef have undoubtedly heard of The French Laundry, the iconic Napa Valley restaurant that’s known for its $240 dinners and ages-long waiting list for reservations.
You can catch The French Laundry's chef-owner, Thomas Keller when he's in town to discuss his new book, Under Pressure: Cooking Sous Vide, at the Free Library Monday at 7:30 p.m.
The book is the first in English focused on sous vide—a method of cooking characterized by heating foods for long periods of time at low temperatures. It contains instructions, technique descriptions and inspirations for chefs of all abilities.
Tickets are $14, free for students.
