Scarpetta chef-mogul and '24 Hour Restaurant Battle' host Scott Conant stopped by The Feast Talks at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival last weekend, as did LXTV's Sara Gore. Conant recently opened D.O.C.G. wine bar at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and told us that he will shift his focus from Scarpetta to expanding the former concept in "beta markets" across the country.
Following Tom Colicchio's announcement this fall that he would cut off the Craft brand, Conant had hinted that he maxed out Scarpetta in the States. With locations in New York, Miami, L.A., Las Vegas, and Toronto, Conant now tells us he's done with North America. Click play to see why he wants to go global.
