Pop Art, Pasties and Perverts: A Night With Revival Burlesque

Some couples spend Valentine's Day at the ballet. Others go to the orchestra.

And then there are those that spend the holiday at a burlesque show.

Anna Frangiosa, the founder of Philadelphia's own Revival Burlesque, told the Philadelphia City Paper that the group’s latest show, “The Flesh Factory,” is “like Saturday Night Live with boobs in it.”

Hmm.

Risqué, sure, but Revival Burlesque isn’t just about sex on stage. “The Flesh Factory” will also include singing, dancing and sketch comedy. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate Valentine’s Day (or anti-Valentine’s Day) with friends, this is a pretty out-there way to do it.

Shows run Friday through Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Walking Fish Theatre (2509 Frankford Ave.). Tickets are $15.
