All I want for Christmas (Eve) is my two front teeth -- and my umbrella!
On and off showers will prevail throughout the day as a warm front makes it way through the Philly area. The precipitation will be shut off once the trailing cold front moves through late Wednesday night.
If you are like me and need to get some last minute shopping done, make sure to grab the umbrella as you head out the door.
Believe it or not the rain is a big improvement over what was happening overnight and early Wednesday morning.
Freezing temperatures made for dangerous driving, as any rain that fell, created a virtual skating rink on the area roadways.
Freezing rain will still be falling west and north of the city and a winter weather advisory (for those Northwestern suburbs) has been extended until noon. By then, all temperatures, will be above freezing and everyone will see the changeover to rain.
Expect drier, cooler and breezy weather on Christmas. Temperatures will be fairly close to average with highs in the low to mid 40's.
