Police in Philadelphia have charged a fifth suspect in last month's double homicide at an upscale apartment building in Northern Liberties.
Langdon Scott, 26, is charged with robbery, conspiracy and other related offenses. He was arrested Friday.
Rian Thal and Timothy Gilmore were ambushed outside her seventh floor apartment in the Piazza at Schmidts complex June 27. They'd just gotten off the elevator. Investigators say the killings were part of a botched drug robbery.
Scott came into the Navona apartment building several times with suspects Donnell Murchison and Edward Daniels before the slayings and "attempted to make a [drug] purchase or gain access to [Thal's] apartment about an hour-and-a-half before the murders," Lt. Phillip Riehl told the Daily News.
Four kilos of cocaine and $100,000 in cash were found inside Thal's apartment.
More arrests are expected – possibly five or six more.
