A massive storm moved through our area Wednesday, bringing mostly rain, some slush and up in the Poconos, a little snow. It was enough to delay school for a couple of hours in a few districts mostly north and west of the city.

The heaviest rain hit during the morning, turning the commute into a messy one both in and around the city.

Flooding closed and blocked portions of several major roads and highways during the rush hour, including the NJ Turnpike, the Schuylkill and Roosevelt Blvd.

Philly dodged the worst of the storm. West of us in Wyoming County, there was about seven inches of snow and north of us, four to six inches.

Temperatures were expected to range from the low 40s in the Lehigh Valley to near 60 degrees in South Jersey Wednesday afternoon,  after the rain ended.

Arctic air will rush in for Thursday, with daytime wind chills in the 20s.

Check school closings and delays.

Check traffic conditions from the NBCPhiladelphia Traffic Center.
