A motorcycle rider died and a box truck driver was hurt in a crash along a Montgomery County road Friday evening.

A motorcycle driven by Eric Kiefer, for some reason, crossed the double line along Schuylkill River Road (Route 23) in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania around 5:15 p.m. and slammed head-on into a southbound food truck near gate 4 of The Philadelphia Inquirer facility, said Upper Merion Township Police.

The Conshohocken man died instantly, police said.

The truck's unidentified driver suffered multiple non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania, said police.

As SkyForce10 hovered overhead you could see the truck on its side.

The wreck left Route 23 between McCoys Lane and B Street closed for about four hours.

Investigators asked anyone who might have witnessed the crash to call police at 610-265-3232.
