No Cheap Trick Here

Meet Cheap Trick and rock out to their concert movie

An outdoor movie screening, autographs with a legendary rock band and a chance to belt out classic rock -- all for free? Trust me there’s no cheap trick here.

That’s right. Legendary rockers Cheap Trick are coming to Philly as part of a rock series presented by 102.9 MGK and the Philadelphia Film Society at the Piazza at Schmidts.

I mean, who hasn’t had "I Want You to Want Me" stuck in their head at least one time in their life? Or what That 70’s Show fan can’t appreciate the catchy theme song, "In the Street" covered by the band?

Whether you’re a huge fan or just looking for a way to rock out to some great hits -- head over to The Piazza Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Don’t miss this chance to get some autographs from guitarist Rick Nielsen and bassist Tom Petersson from 7:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Then at 8:15 p.m. stick around for the famous concert movie that launched their career, Live at Budakon.

If you can’t get enough of the band Japanese press call the "American Beatles," make sure to purchase tickets to their July 16 concert with Squeeze at the Mann Center.

After this event, you’ll be sure to “Surrender” to a little nostalgia of the seventies.

And if you can't make it this time check out other MGK rock movie screenings set to play at the Piazza.
