Heated Sidewalk = No Shoveling

This guy will never get a citation for not shoveling his sidewalk

Hate the snow because of all the work you have to do to dig out?

Well, then maybe you should take a page from Anthony Badolato.

The South Philly resident got tired of having to shovel his sidewalk, so he decided to heat it up.

Badolato installed a heated sidewalk outside his home by just placing a heat blanket under the concrete.

"It's plugged into a breaker in the house so it doesn't really take anything but to throw a switch," he explained Wednesday.

The radiated heat generated just melts any snow or ice on contact. He just flips the switch about two hours before it starts.

Badolato admits that it causes his electric bill to skyrocket, but he'd rather pay for that then nurse a broken bone or sore shoulder.
