Is Nutter Nuts?

Mayor giving away free World Series tickets

Mayor Michael Nutter’s postseason ticket giveaway bonanza will include World Series tickets.

Philly’s main man announced a drawing Monday for a pair of tickets to each of the Phillies World Series home games against the dreaded Yankees. Nutter did the same thing for National League Championship Series.

The tickets are not only free but they are also in the posh Mayor’s suite at Citizen’s Bank Park.

Nutter summed up why he will be giving up the highly desirable tix.

“I want to give everyone an opportunity to watch the reigning World Champion… win a second title,” said Nutter. “Send me an email, and you just might end up cheering for the Phils alongside me in the Mayor’s Box.”

Click here to email the Mayor directly for your chance to win tickets to Games 3, 4 or 5 (if necessary). Be sure to include your name, address and telephone number. All emails must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Winners will be picked at random and notified on Wednesday.

Not a Philadelphian? Don’t worry. The contest is open to anyone who doesn’t work for the city.
