Stolen High-Priced Chihuahua Mysteriously Returned

Pup was left behind Delco pet store

A dog-napped Chihuahua has returned to its home at a Delco pet store.

The $1,400 pup was left in a toolbox behind the We Love Pets store in the Stony Creek Shopping Center Monday, officials told the Daily News.

A man in his early 20s walked into the store, grabbed the pup from its cage and simply walked out earlier this month, police said.

The Chihuahua's theft was the third dog to be stolen from the shop over the past year.

The dog was said to be in healthy condition when it was discovered. Authorities aren't sure why the dog was returned, but they are still looking for the man.
