The Philadelphia International Flower Show is looking for a new corporate sponsor after PNC Bank ended its 20-year relationship with the event billed as the world's largest indoor flower show.
PNC regional president J. William Mills told The Philadelphia Inquirer on Thursday the bank is trimming the flower show as it diversifies its sponsorship agreements.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society says it's already looking for new corporate partners. PNC had let the society know of its plans in 2009.
This year's eight-day show wrapped up March 13 and drew 265,000 attendees, the most in nine years. The โSpringtime in Parisโ theme featured French gardens, elaborate floral displays and landscape designs, fine wines and celebrity chefs, and an illuminated Eiffel Tower.
