New Jersey State Police are looking for a vehicle that fatally struck a woman on the northbound side of Interstate 676 in Camden.

Police say that 29-year-old Michelle Macinnes, of Jackson, N.J., was struck by a black Nissan Xterra on Saturday at around 11:40 a.m. by Exit 4. Witnesses say that the occupants of the car momentarily stopped, but took off again when they realized the extent of the victim's injuries.

The driver of the Xterra is described by witnesses as a white man in his 20s with brown hair and tan skin. He was wearing jean shorts and a white or light-colored shirt. He stands approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and may have a tattoo on his lower arm.

Investigators believe that the Xterra is from one of the model years between 2005 and 2008. They also believe that the vehicle has heavy damage to its front end and hood, as well as a smashed windshield.
