Cops cancel search for child when she shows up to Long Branch elementary school

    A girl who disappeared after leaving school near the New Jersey shore was found safe Thursday morning.

    State Police say 10-year-old Lizbeth Vasquez showed up at the Anastasia School on Seventh Avenue in Long Branch Thursday morning around 8:30.

    She was last seen leaving on Wednesday afternoon around 3:30.

    Police released a 2-year-old photo of Vasquez. Authorities say the girl currently looks the same.

    The 4-foot-1-inch, 120-pound girl was wearing a Long Branch school uniform, which is a green polo shirt and tan pants. She was also carrying a black backpack.

    Lizbeth Vasquez, 10, never came home from her Long Branch, N.J. school Wednesday afternoon.Vasquez has a light complexion, black hair and brown eyes, according to missing child release from the New Jersey State Police.
