Man in Fatal Bridge Crash Charged With Murder

NBC

Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania have filed a murder charge against a man accused of having deliberately driven his car into another vehicle on a bridge last year.

Thirty-two-year-old Bradley Wolfe of Reading is charged in Berks County with third-degree murder, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, homicide by vehicle and other counts in the Sept. 5 crash in Reading.

Prosecutors allege that Wolfe was irate and told his wife "I'm going to drive right into the first car I see and kill us both.''

Moments later, they say, their car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle, killing 24-year-old Lance Quinones and injuring his 7-year-old stepdaughter.

Wolfe surrendered with attorney on Wednesday and was arraigned on the murder charge.

Defense attorney Allan Sodomsky told The Reading Eagle before Wednesday's arraignment that the crash was an accident and his client is sorry for the victims' injuries.

Wolfe said "I'm very sorry'' as he was being taken to county prison.
