Man Injured By Machete in Fight

A confrontation involving three men at a southern New Jersey home ended when one of them struck another with a machete.
 
Egg Harbor police 24-year-old township resident Drew Vasquez and 25-year-old Richard Borges of Mays Landing both face aggravated assault charges. Borges also was charged with burglary and making terroristic threats, while Vasquez also faces weapons charges.
 
Authorities say Borges and another man confronted Vasquez around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
 
Vasquez ran inside the home after the scuffle began, but Borges and the other man cased after him. Vasquez then allegedly struck Borges in the arm with a machete and was able to escape from the house.
 
Borges was bleeding profusely when police arrived, and he was taken to a hospital.
