Police are investigating a shooting in the East Falls section of the city.

It happened Tuesday night shortly before 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Berkshire Apartment complex on the 2900 block of West School House Lane. Police say a man in his mid-30’s was shot in the lower abdomen. He was taken to Temple Hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigators say the victim knows who shot him and gave police both a name and description. While police did not reveal the suspect’s identity, they described him as a man in his late 20’s to early 30’s, wearing all-blue clothing. He was last seen driving westbound on the 2900 block of School House Lane in a 1999 black Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows. Police believe the shooting was a robbery that went bad. They are currently interviewing several witnesses.
