Man Pistol Whipped During Home Invasion: Police

Delaware State Police say a man was pistol whipped during a home invasion in Wilmington.

It happened about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on North Market Street. Troopers say a man was confronted by another man with a gun at the door of his house. The two began to wrestle, and a second suspect arrived. The second suspect hit the victim with a handgun. The victim broke away and ran to a nearby store.

The suspects then entered the home and demanded money from a resident. The suspects found the cash and fled.

The male victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
