Smoke Spotted Near 30th Street Station

Service is back on schedule after a generator fire near the train station

Fire crews were at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia after smoke was spotted near the train station.

AMTRAK spokesman Craig Schulz tells NBC10 there was a fire in the generator being used by a contractor near the tracks.

There was some smoke, but the fire is out. Trains were held outside the station for a short time, according to Schulz, but service is now back on schedule.

    No evacuations were made.
