Checkpoints will began Friday in New Castle

Delaware law enforcement is cracking down on drunk driving heading into the New Year. Checkpoints are planned across the state over the holiday weekend.

The checkpoints will began Friday  in New Castle; Saturday in Smyrna; and Monday in Wilmington.
The checkpoints over the New Year's weekend come after officials say two people were killed in impaired driving crashes on Christmas.
