Thirteen people died and 294 were injured in hundreds of crashes that occurred over Memorial Day weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The Express-Times reports that a total of 808 cars collided just in Pennsylvania from Friday to Monday, according to state police.
Police arrested 357 people for driving under the influence and cited 7,934 people for speeding, reports the Express-Times.
During Memorial Day weekend last year there were 16 deaths, 290 injuries and 776 crashes, state police told the Express-Times.
This year’s statistics only encompass accidents that the state police investigated; they don’t include incidents to which local police responded.
