3 Injured After Tree Falls in Nicetown

Officials say the injuries were minor

Three people were injured after a tree fell on top of them in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia Saturday.

Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of West Juniata Street around 10:26 p.m. Three people, ages 34, 23, and 15, were hit by a branch when the tree fell. Police say the victims were attending a block party at the time of the accident.

All three were taken to Einstein Medical Center. Officials say the injuries were minor.
