2 Teen Murder Suspects to Testify

Two suspects accused of beating and killing a 15-year-old Pennsylvania boy and stealing his sneakers are expected to testify at the murder trial of two alleged accomplices.

Prosecutors said during their opening statement Tuesday that Willy Tineo-Ferreira was shot eight times on a Reading street in September after being beaten and robbed.

Rodrigo Arana and Julio Romero are on trial on second-degree murder charges. Alleged accomplices Mario Ceballos and 16-year-old Alfredo Uribe are awaiting trial on the same charges but are
expected to testify.

Investigators say Arana admitted killing Tineo-Ferreira and claim Romero later hid the gun and stolen sneakers.

Arana's attorney claims her client fired in self-defense, believing Tineo-Ferreira had a gun. Romero's attorney says his client wasn't involved in the killing.
