Philadelphia police say a New York man was arrested for sexual assault on a 12-year-old boy in the Frankford section.
Investigators say it happened around 9:35 p.m. Saturday night on the 5000 block of Rutland Street. Police received several calls from neighbors who became suspicious after spotting a van with New York license plates parked in the street.
Police identified the man as Robert Alvarez, 44, from Staten Island. He is a registered sex offender New York.
Alvarez is charged with sexual assault, false imprisonment and other related charges.
