Marijuana Dispensary Workers File Unfair Labor Charges

All is not mellow at a New Jersey medical marijuana dispensary, where workers say they're bummed about the way their employer is treating them.

United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 152 says a majority of the employees at the Compassionate Care Foundation in Egg Harbor Township have filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board.

Employees say when they tried to unionize, the nonprofit dispensary retaliated  by lowering wages and altering their hours.

The NLRB is scheduled to hear the case in Philadelphia on March 16.

So far, Compassionate Care has declined to comment.

The dispute was first reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
