Lawyer: Jesse James “Wants to Save His Marriage”

Jesse James' lawyer, Joe Yanny, says his client hasn't given up on his marriage to Sandra Bullock.

"When all is said and done, he wants the same people who were living in his house before all this happened to still be living there," Yanny told People. "And he wants to save his marriage with the woman he loves more than anything in his life."

The attorney added that James, who checked himself into the Sierra Tucson rehab facility last week, "is doing as well as he can be."

"He's focusing on what he's doing and trying to make himself better," he said.

Yanny also attacked the media coverage of James, who has prompted dozens of tabloid headlines since the news of his alleged affairs broke.

"The First Amendment was not meant to cover the sexual lives of people who are not in office," Yanny said. "This is sheer voyeurism and bullying, pure and simple. It's disgusting."

In People's report, the lawyer did not address Radar Online and Star Magazine claims that James had left – then returned to – rehab over the weekend.
