Philly Athletes You Should Follow on Instagram

You're already following Joel EmbiidCarson Wentz, and Claude Giroux. You've probably threw Rhys Hoskins a follow last fall too.

As we dive into 2018 with Instagram only growing more popular, we wanted to highlight a few Philly athletes fans will want to follow.

Behind the mask
There are a handful of Eagles worth following. You're probably already following Torrey Smith and the other big accounts. But how about Trey Burton (@treyburton8)?

Burton is a great story on the field - an undrafted free agent who's carved out a nice role as the third-string tight end. And his Instagram shows he's a down-to-earth dude off it.

On the rise
With the Phils trading Freddy Galvis to San Diego this winter, J.P. Crawford (@jp_crawford) enters 2018 as the team's starting shortstop. Here he is trusting the process with Hoskins.

For the city!! Love the new @sixers jerseys that just released today! #brotherlylove

Under the radar
Phantoms center Mike Vecchione (@mvecc8) isn't on the Flyers just yet, but the former Hobey Baker finalist is a worthy follow.

Old friend
We love Chase Utley here, and while Utley doesn't post that often, he makes it count when he does. Last weekend, he chronicled his trip to Disney Land with his son.

Animal accounts
Who doesn't love dogs? Two of the city's star players have Instagram accounts dedicated to their four-legged friends.

There's Wentz's pup Henley (@qb11_henley), and Harvey and Charlie Giroux (@harvandcharlie).

And, of course, don't forget to give us a follow - @nbcsphilly.
