Less than 10 seconds into the crucial matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, the refs made a ridiculous call that will likely have a huge hand in deciding who will win the game, and probably the NFC East.
If you didn't see the play, here is the end where five Eagles surround the ball, but it's determined that no clear possession was gained.
There are only Eagles in this pile along with the fumbled football, and yet they rule no clear recovery after 54 stands up w the ball. pic.twitter.com/lmTH5l60PL— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) December 9, 2018
Not only is this clearly a fumble but had the refs done their job right the first time, there's no question who would have been awarded possession. Instead, the Cowboys kept the ball and everyone on Twitter lost their collective minds.
THE NFL AND THESE REFS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!! THEY CANNOT BLOW THAT CALL IN A GAME OF THIS MAGNITUDE!! #CHEATEDINDALLAS— Seth Joyner (@sethjoyner) December 9, 2018

I'm still pissed. How is that not a fumble and clear recovery? Why do we even have referees? #FlyEaglesFly— A.J. Harnak (@AHarnak) December 9, 2018
You're telling me the Eagles don't clearly recover this fumble?
Incompetent refs ruin football, stop me if you've heard this one before... pic.twitter.com/RRZ8ZdTdRm— l3randon (@brandon_vidrine) December 9, 2018
Regardless, not unreasonable to feel like officials straight robbed Eagles of at least a 3-0 lead to start this game.— Andrew Kulp (@KulpSays) December 9, 2018
It's a long game - we'll see if the Eagles can overcome this one.
