Today's Lineup: Cody Asche Hits Third for First Time

For the first time this season, the Phillies came back to win despite trailing after eight innings on Tuesday night (see Instant Replay.)

Manager Pete Mackanin makes two personnel changes to that winning lineup for Wednesday afternoon's matchup against righty Archie Bradley. Cameron Rupp, who is 6 for 19 with two homers and five RBIs in his last five starts, takes over for Carlos Ruiz behind the plate. Tommy Joseph plays at first base over Ryan Howard, the man whose bases-loaded walk drove in the winning run Tuesday. Joseph was hitless in five at-bats in the series opener, striking out four times.

Despite striking out three times last night, Cody Asche is promoted from sixth to third in the batting order. Today will be the first instance this season in which Asche has batted third; 65 of his 78 at-bats have been in the fifth, sixth, or seventh slot. The Diamondbacks also make a notable shift in their order, moving struggling former Phillie Michael Bourn from second to ninth.
