World Series Ring Theft Suspect

We get our first look at the man accused of stealing a Phillies World Series ring that was left in a bathroom at the ballpark. Anthony Mobley, 52, left court Thursday morning, September 10, 2009. Mobley is charged with theft and unlawfully taking and receiving stolen property. Mobley was working as a janitor at Citizens Bank Park when he spotted the 2008 Championship ring, according to police. One of the team’s marketing executives left it in a bathroom when he took it off to wash his hands. Mobley is accused of taking the ring and hiding it in another location inside the ballpark, according to police. Investigators say surveillance tape led them to Mobley. He will be back in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
